Editor’s note—
Every time we get a new issue out it feels like a small victory, bouncing off the trash heap of history for at least one more arc through the ether. This issue features many returning as well as new friends; the fuel tank feels plenty full!
But futures are always uncertain. In a few months I’ll be leaving antipodean shores to take up residence in the MFA program at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Studying with heroes like Joyelle McSweeney and Johannes Göransson promises to be an absolute fever dream, and it remains to be seen what heading will be found for Minarets from such a different context.
So drink deeply. Surely we must always act as if the end is already upon us.
